Abstract:
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo destacar a história do projeto “Reciclar é
Vida”, que vem, desde 2005, contribuindo para a educação e conscientização ambiental de acadêmicos, técnicos e professores da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande FURG. O projeto busca a coleta seletiva de lixo na Instituição, bem como, o destino destes resíduos as cooperativas e associações de catadores. Nesse sentido, através da discussão acerca dessa experiência almejamos incentivar a expansão de ações universitárias que beneficiem as comunidades nas quais as instituições de ensino superior estão inseridas. Assim acarretando relações de troca de conhecimentos para a posterior mudança do atual panorama de caos socioambiental.
This paper aims to highlight the history of the project "Cycling is Life", which has,
since 2005, contributing to education and environmental awareness of students,
teachers and technicians from the Federal University of Rio Grande FURG. The project seeks to garbage collection in the institution, as well as the destination of the waste recycling cooperatives. In this sense, through the discussion of this experience we aim to encourage the expansion of university actions that benefit the communities in which higher education institutions are located. Thus causing the exchange relations of knowledge to further change the current landscape of social and
envronmental chaos.
