Atravessamentos culturais e crise ambiental na atualidade: modos ecológicos de vida no rock´n roll

Abstract

O presente estudo busca estabelecer um diálogo entre Música, Sociedade e Educação Ambiental. Para isso, colocamos sob análise alguns discursos da Educação Ambiental, com o objetivo de problematizar de que forma a música, através do gênero Rock´n Roll, vem contribuindo para pensarmos na crise ambiental que se instala na atualidade. Para dar conta de responder a essa investigação, selecionamos como aporte teórico, autores como Zygmunt Bauman, Isabel Carvalho e Félix Guattari. Nesse estudo, destacamos a importância de voltar nosso olhar para outros espaços como produtores de saber, bem como entendemos a música como um importante artefato cultural que vem produzindo modos de ser e viver a contemporaneidade. A pesquisa vem demonstrando também, o quanto o rock está preocupado com a crise ambiental, já que temas como a destruição da natureza, o meio ambiente, o consumo, o lixo, o derretimento das geleiras, o aquecimento global vem sendo freqüentemente abordadas nas letras de músicas selecionadas.

This study seeks to establish a dialogue between Music, Society and Environmental Education. For this, we put under analysis some of the speeches of these knowledge’s fields, with the intention to discuss how music, through the Rock'n Roll gender, has contributed to make us think about the environmental crisis that takes place at the present time. This crisis has been widely disseminated by different cultural artifacts and examined especially since the 90’s of last century. The article presents, at first, some arts’ layers and their importance in the culture at different historical moments. Later on, the environmental crisis in the current scenario is discussed and rock is contextualized as a cultural phenomenon of the twentieth century. In order to answer this investigation, we selected, as theoretical support, authors such as Zygmunt Bauman, Isabel Carvalho and Felix Guattari. In this study, we highlight the importance of turning our attention to other areas as producers of knowledge; also, we understand music as an important cultural artifact that has been producing ways of being and living nowadays. The research has shown how much rock is concerned with the environmental crisis, once issues such as nature’s destruction, the environment, consumption, waste, melting glaciers and global warming has been often addressed in the selected lyrics.
