Abstract:
O presente estudo abordou a acessibilidade em bibliotecas, o tema tomou grande
proporção ao longo do tempo, passando por uma evolução livre de barreiras, hoje
conhecido por Desenho Universal. No entanto, alguns aspectos necessitam de uma
maior atenção, como no caso da dificuldade socioeconômica que as instituições e
sociedade vêm passando ao longo dos anos. Sendo assim teve-se como objetivo
principal investigar sobre a acessibilidade a partir dos periódicos eletrônicos online
da Ciência da Informação. Foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa exploratória e qualitativa
com a finalidade de se fazer uma revisão bibliográfica. Com base na literatura,
abordou-se conceitos acerca da acessibilidade, sua importância e aplicação por
parte das bibliotecas Universitárias, Escolares e públicas, além e principalmente do
profissional que atua nestes lugares. Ao concluir esta pesquisa observou-se que
apesar das mudanças na acessibilidade terem sido significativas, não foi suficiente
para que se possa falar em acessibilidade por excelência. Seja em bibliotecas
Universitárias, escolares ou outras, governo e sociedade precisam percorrer um
longo caminho para que haja uma total inserção dessas pessoas.
Accessibility in the library, a review of literature from the periodicals of information
Science, a accessibility has taken a large proportion over time, passing through a
barrier-free evolution, now known as Universal Design. However, some aspects
require greater attention, as in the case of the socioeconomic difficulty that
institutions and society have been experiencing over the years. Thus, the main
objective of this work is to investigate accessibility from the online open periodicals of
information science. A qualitative exploratory research was developed analyzing the
online open journals of the information Science with the purpose of making a
bibliographical review. The present, based on the literature, concepts about
accessibility, its importance and application bay the University, School and public
libraries, in addition to, and mainly, the professional that works in these places. In
concluding this research, I observed that although the changes in accessibility have
been significant, but not enough to be able to speak about accessibility par
excellence, both university and school libraries together whit governments and
society still need to go a long way towards and that the laws are only to guarantee
these rights, but that they do not have to remind us of our duty as a citizen respecting
the rights of others.
