Abstract:
O artigo identifica o perfil dos bolsistas de iniciação científica PIBIC, do CNPq, entre os anos de 2001 e 2013, na área de Ciência da Informação do Brasil. O objetivo é verificar se esse fomento está contribuindo para a formação de recursos humanos para a pesquisa, por meio de uma perspectiva censitária e análise descritiva. Conhecer essa realidade é o tipo de indício para apoiar as políticas públicas de fomento. Analisaram-se as 1.940 bolsas concedidas e o perfil dos 899 bolsistas contemplados. Por fim, certifica-se a eficácia do investimento na área,que apresenta indicadores maiores que a média global.
The article identifies the scientific profile of CNPq undergraduate research fellows from 2001 to 2013 in the area of Information Science. The objective is to verify if it is contributing to the training of human resources for research, through a census perspective and descriptive analysis. Knowing this reality is the type of evidence to support public development policies.It analyzed the 1,940 scholarships granted and the profile of the 899 scholarship recipients. Finally, it certifies the effectiveness of investment in the area, which has indicators that are higher than the global average.
