Este artigo pretende abordar questões relativas à mudança social, envolvendo as práticas de trabalho e a cultura material em uma comunidade pesqueira. Transformações no estado da arte da pesca é um tema recorrente em boa parte das narrativas e da memória coletiva desses pescadores, apresentando um contexto de mudança social
desencadeada, principalmente, por políticas relacionadas ao setor, vinculadas às demandas globais e industriais. Trata de abordar o significado dessas transformações para a comunidade local, sobretudo no que diz respeito às
inovações tecnológicas nas embarcações e em artes de pesca, cujas pescarias consideradas tradicionais vêm sofrendo uma série de mutações nas práticas de trabalho, juntamente com o envolvimento financeiro decorrente das relações como mercado da pesca.
This article intends to approach questions about social change, involving work practices and material culture in a fisherman community. Changing in the fishing made state is a current theme in several narratives and collective memory of these fishermen, showing a social change context provoked mainly by politics about the sector, linking global and industrial demands. Its deal with the significance of these changing to the local community, specially about technological innovation in boats and fishing made, where the fisheries considered traditional have been suffering a several mutations in work practices, together the financial involvement passed from the relations with fishing market.
