Abstract:
O presente estudo procura apresentar as principais preocupações originadas pela pesquisa histórica realizada para o projeto de requalificação da exposição permanete do museu das Missões (São Miguel-Rio Grande do Sul), particulamente no que se refere à atual classificação da imaginária sacra ( restritamente centrada na hagiografia ocidental) em contraste com seus possíveis significados aos tempos missionais em virtude da participação indígena. Para tal, recorre- se ao cruzamento e análise de dados estéticos( formas e cores), línguisticos, etnológicos e histórico-documentais, demonstrando o quanto as classificações contemporâneas distanciam-se dos seus significados históricos. Trata-se, portanto, de uma proposta de reflexão sob a classificação das obras em questão tendo em vista sua dimensão histórica e a devida inclusão das populações indígenas num espaço museológico que aspira fugir de perspectivas etnocêntricas.
This study has the objective of presenting the main concerns originated by the historic research carried out by the project of Re-qualification of the permanent exhibition of the Museu das Missões(São Miguel- Rio Grande do Sul). More Specifically it deals with the current classification of sacred imagery ( exclusively focused on western hagiograpy)in contrast with its possible meanings to the mission times in virtue of Indian participation. For such a thing we need to analyze the esthetic ( forms and colors), linguistic, ethnological and documental - historic data , demonstrating how much the comporany classifications distance themselves from historic meanings. Here we have a proposal for reflection on the classification of the pieces in question not forgetting their historic dimension and the necessary inclusion of the Indian population in a museum space that wishes to stay far away from ethnocentric perspectives.
