Abstract:
Este trabalho busca, através da perspectiva da Arqueologia,o significado contido nas representações escultóricas presentes na fachada de uma importante fábrica de cerveja
instalada em Porto Alegre,Rio Grande do Sul, no início do século XX.Busca,ainda,verificar
de que forma esses significados foram transmitidos e como operaram no contexto da sociedade porto-alegrense dessa época.
The present work seeks,in an Archaeological perspective, to study the meaning of the sculptural representations on the façade of an important beer plant situated in Porto Alegre,Rio Grande do Sul, in the beginning of 20th Century. This work seeks to, in addition, to verify how these meanings have been transmitted and how did they operate in the context of Porto Alegre society at the time.
