Câncer uretral: relato de um caso

Abstract

O câncer da uretra é uma doença rara, com maior incidência em mulheres, e a ocorrência desta entidade em homens é pouco relatado na literatura mundial. Os autores relatam um caso de carcinoma epidermóide de uretra em homem, com apresentação inicial de fístula uretral de difícil manejo, e devido à fase avançada da doença não foi possível ter sucesso terapêutico. Uma revisão da literatura foi feita sobre este raro tumor do trato genitourinário.

Urethral cancer is a rare disease. It’s incidence is higher in women, and the male urethral carcinoma is rare. The authors report a case of a male patient with squamous cell carcinoma of the urethra, and the initial presentation was a urethral fistula of difficult management, and because of the advanced stage of the disease, treatment was not successful. The literature pertaining to this rare tumor of genitourinary tract is reviewed.
