Uma análise da evolução do campo de ensino e pesquisa em contabilidade sob a perspectiva de redes

Abstract

Este estudo emprega a perspectiva institucional para análise dos principais agentes envolvidos no campo de pesquisa contábil, ao mesmo tempo em que conjuga a análise de redes sociais, ainda não observada no campo de produção científica em ensino e pesquisa contábil, aos estudos bibliométricos, o que faz com que adquira um caráter inovador. Realizada com o objetivo de analisar os atores mais relevantes na evolução do campo de produção científica em ensino e pesquisa contábil no contexto brasileiro, esta investigação utilizou um estudo bibliométrico, por meio do qual se analisaram 139 artigos oriundos de anais e de periódicos, divididos em três períodos (2004-2005, 2006-2007 e 2008), e um estudo sociométrico (redes sociais), para o qual se empregou o software UCINET® 6. As análises possibilitaram a identificação dos principais agentes individuais (atores) e coletivos (instituições) envolvidos no campo de pesquisa contábil, bem como a percepção de uma relativa evolução no campo no que tange ao número de artigos publicados e à densidade das redes de cooperação. Com este estudo, espera-se contribuir para o desenvolvimento do campo de produção científica em ensino e pesquisa contábil, no sentido de permitir a identificação de futuras associações entre autores e entre instituições e de fomentar a realização dessas associações de modo a ampliar a troca de informações e a construção de conhecimento no campo. Além disso, espera-se apresentar, para este campo, um novo design de pesquisa que sirva, adicionalmente, como um instrumento de diagnóstico para Programas de Pós-graduação em Contabilidade e que possibilite a averiguação de seu efeito multiplicador, especialmente no que tange à linha de pesquisa de ensino e pesquisa em Contabilidade.

This study uses the institutional perspective for the analysis of the main agents involved in the accounting research field and by combining the social networks analysis, not yet observed in the scientific production field in education and accounting research, to the bibliometric studies, which is an innovative approach. Having the goal of analyzing the most relevant actors in the scientific production field evolution in education and accounting research in the Brazilian context, this investigation was performed through a bibliometric study, analyzing 139 articles from annals and journals, divided into three periods: 2004-2005, 2006-2007 and 2008; and a sociometric study (social networks), us ing the UCINET ® 6 software. The performed analysis enabled the identification of the main individual actors (agents) and collective (institutions) involved in the accounting research field, as well as apperception of arelative evolution on the field regarding to the nu mber of articles published and the cooperation networks density. The performance of this study is expected to contribute to the scientific production field development in education and accounting research, allowing the identification and fostering the conduct of future associations among authors and among institutions in order to expand the information exchange and the construction of knowledge in the field. Moreover, it aims to provide the presentation of a new design of research for this field, serving, in addition, as a diagnostic tool for Post-Graduation Programs in Accounting, allowing the investigation of its multiplying effect, especially regarding to the education research and Accounting research line.
