Abstract:
O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a influência da profundidade relativa da linha neutra, adotada no dimensionamento à flexão simples, sobre a ductilidade de vigas e lajes de concreto armado. O trabalho compreende uma ampla revisão sobre os critérios adotados pelas principais normas internacionais;
a elaboração de um modelo não linear para análise de seções de concreto armado sob flexão simples; a verificação da ductilidade obtida no dimensionamento; a constatação do aviso prévio da ruptura através do tamanho da abertura das fissuras. Desse estudo, conclui-se que não se deve realizar o dimensionamento à flexão simples considerando todo o domínio 3, como tem sido feito tradicionalmente. Para a obtenção de uma ruptura dúctil e com aviso prévio, é necessário limitar a profundidade da linha neutra, eliminando-se parte do domínio 3. O critério do CEB é sugerido como sendo o mais adequado para a realização do
dimensionamento com ruptura dúctil.
The subject of this work is to analyze the influence of the relative depth of the neutral axis, adopted in the flexure design, on the ductility of reinforced concrete beams and slabs. The work contains a wide revision on the criteria adopted by the main design codes; the elaboration of a non-linear model for analysis of reinforced concrete cross sections under flexure; the verification of the ductility obtained in design; the verification of the warning of rupture through the cracks opening. Through this study, it is concluded that the flexure design should not consider the whole domain 3, as it has been done traditionally. To obtain ductile failure with warning of rupture, it is necessary to limit the depth of the neutral axis, being eliminated a portion of the domain 3. The CEB criterion is suggested as being the most appropriate for flexure design with ductile failure.
