Abstract:
Estruturas flutuantes do tipo navio são comumente utilizadas para suportar a planta de processo ou outras facilidades de sistemas flutuantes de produção de petróleo. A forma como a planta de processo é apoiada sobre o convés tem diversas alternativas, cada
qual com suas particularidades e, no que se refere à interface topside-casco, ora vantajosas quando se trata de novos cascos, ora de cascos convertidos. Entre os fatores que afetam a escolha pela melhor solução está o peso dos módulos bem como seu comprimento (plantas modulares ou não). Este artigo aborda as diferentes soluções para sistemas de suportação de módulos, suas vantagens, aplicações e dificuldades que levaram à evolução destes sistemas.
Ship type floating units are commonly used to support process and utilities plant of floating production systems. The way as that plant is supported above the main deck
has many configurations, each one with its especial characteristics and, about the topside-hull interface, sometimes more advantageous for new buildings or converted vessels. Among the factors that affect the choice for the better solution for process modules support system there are the weight of the modules and their length. This paper deals with the different support systems solutions for process plant modules, their advantages, applications and the main difficulties that motivated their evolution.
