Abstract:
Esta pesquisa propõe estudar o perfil dos egressos do curso de
Biblioteconomia da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG), a partir da
produção científica informada em seus currículos disponíveis na Plataforma
Lattes do Conselho Nacional Pesquisa (CNPq). Descrevem-se as
características desta produção e, consequentemente, o perfil dos profissionais
formados na instituição. Os resultados mostraram que no período analisado
(1977-2012) 633 alunos se graduaram na FURG, mas 62% destes não
possuem currículos cadastrados no CNPq. Dentre os currículos, foram
encontrados 53 deles com produções de artigos, livros e capítulos de livros,
totalizando 199 trabalhos. Entre estas publicações, a sua maioria eram artigos
publicados em periódicos, na língua portuguesa e em revistas locais. A
produtividade dos egressos se manteve em crescimento, com uma média de 6
trabalhos publicados por ano, sendo este número crescente ao longo do
período estudado. Ao analisar as temáticas destas produções, verificou-se que
a maior parte contempla as áreas de educação e ciência da informação.
In any field of knowledge, know the profile of the professionals working in it is
important to identify deficiencies and potential. This research proposes to study
the profile of the graduates of Library Science course at the Federal University
of Rio Grande (FURG), from the scientific literature informed on their resumes
available in the Lattes Platform from the National Research Council (CNPq).
Described the characteristics of this production and, consequently, the profile of
the professionals in the institution. The results showed that during the period
analyzed (1977-2012) 633 students graduated from FURG, but 62 % of them do
not have curricula registered at CNPq. Among the curricula, only 53 of them
were found with productions of articles, books and book chapters, totaling 199
jobs. Among these publications, the majority were journal articles, in
Portuguese and in local magazines. The productivity of graduates kept growing,
with an average of 6 papers published per year, with this increasing over the
study period number. By analyzing the themes of these productions, it was
found that most of the areas include education and information science.
