Abstract:
O presente ensaio discute a questão da delinquência
feminina no Paraguai no pós-guerra da Tríplice Aliança. Analisa a
preocupação das elites em definir um papel para a mulher paraguaia,
oscilando entre uma feminilidade ideal e a paraguaia real em meio ao
caos do pós-guerra, confrontando-as com situações em que mulheres
do povo rompem com a condição de submissão, rejeição e resignação
que lhes é imposta para denunciar, através da sua insubordinação às
novas regras do jogo, a iniquidade dos “regeneradores”. Ao saírem
do anonimato que os porta-vozes da classe dominante lhes havia
reservado para, contestaram a “ordem” e o “progresso”, denunciando
com suas atitudes desesperadas a iniquidade de uma nova ordem que as
desprezava ainda mais do que os regimes “tirânicos” que esses líderes
diziam haver enterrado quando da ocupação aliada de Asunción.
This paper discusses the issue of female delinquency in
Paraguay in the post Triple Alliance War period. Analyzes the concern
of the elites in defining a role for the Paraguayan woman, oscillating
between an ideal and a real femininity in the post-war chaos. Confronts
them with situations in which ordinary women break with the
condition of submission, rejection and resignation imposed on them
to denounce, through their insubordination to the new rules of the game, the iniquity of the “regenerators”. When leaving the anonymity
that the spokespersons of the ruling class had reserved for them, they
challenged the “order” and “progress”, denouncing through their
desperate attitudes the wickedness of a new order that despised them
even more than the “tyrannical” regimes that these leaders stated they
had buried when the Allies occupied Asunción.
