Abstract:
A década de 1970 foi marcada pelo advento do “Milagre
Econômico”, e a cidade do Rio Grande/RS, por sua localização
estratégica e sede do único porto marítimo gaúcho, acabou por sediar
a construção do Distrito Industrial (DIRG). O presente texto procura
apresentar a crítica ambiental desenvolvida pela Associação Gaúcha
de Proteção ao Ambiente Natural, núcleo Rio Grande (AGAPAN),
através de crônicas ecológicas publicadas no Jornal Agora entre os
de 1978-79. Os aportes teórico-metodológicos utilizados são os da
História Ambiental.
The 1970s was marked by the advent of the “Economic
Miracle”, and the city of Rio Grande / RS, for its strategic location
and headquartes of the only seaport of Rio Grande do Sul, it turned
out to host the construction of the Industrial District (DIRG). This
article presents the critical environmental protection developed by state
association of the Natural Environment, core Rio Grande (AGAPAN),
through ecological essays published by the Jornal Agora between
1978-79. The theoretical-methodological contributions used are those
of Environmental History.
