Patrimônio industrial em Rio Grande: a estrutura da fábrica Rheingantz a partir do olhar de um operário

Abstract

O presente texto visa abordar o pioneirismo da Fábrica

Rheingantz (fundada na cidade do Rio Grande/RS a partir de 1873

e que se manteve até fins da década de 1960), a qual ganhou grande

expressão no cenário econômico regional e nacional, produzindo

têxteis para o mercado interno e externo. Durante suas atividades,

formou um grande complexo, contando com filiais, uma vila operária,

uma escola e uma sede social, e estabeleceu-se de tal forma no lugar,

que chegou a fazer parte do cotidiano das pessoas e da cidade como um

todo, delimitando não somente a sua organização espacial e temporal,

bem como vindo a se constituir como a base da economia local de

modo pioneiro, conforme se observará na sequência deste texto. Nesta

direção, apresenta-se a estrutura da Fábrica Rheingantz a partir do

olhar do operário Dário Compolsivan.

This paper aims to address the pioneering Rheingantz

Factory (founded in Rio Grande/RS from 1873 and which remained

until the end of 1960), which gained widespread in the regional and

national economic environment, producing textiles for the domestic and foreign markets. During its activities, has formed a large complex,

with branch offices, a workers village, a school and a headquarters,

and set up so the place that came to be part of the daily lives of people

and the city as a whole, defining not only their spatial and temporal

organization as well as come to be constituted as the basis of the local

economy in a pioneering way, as will be seen following this text. In this

direction, it presents the structure of Rheingantz Factory from the look

of the workers Dario Compolsivan.
