Abstract:
Neste artigo, propomo-nos a analisar percepções sobre a virtude da
justiça feitas por dois homens medievais: o rei Alfonso X (1221-1284),
em sua obra Las siete partidas, e o historiador Ibn Khaldun (1332-
1406), em sua Muqaddimah. Com base em nossas recentes
pesquisas históricas, no ramo medieval, sobre Ibn Khaldun no
mestrado e agora sobre Alfonso X no doutorado, consideramos
importante tal análise.
This paper aims to analyze perceptions about the virtue of justice by two
medieval men: the king Alfonso X (1221-1284) in his Las Siete Partidas
(“Seven-Part Code”) and the historian Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) in his
Muqaddimah. Based on our recent historical research, within medieval
studies, on Ibn Khaldun, in the master’s thesis, and on Alfonso X, in
doctoral dissertation, such analysis is considered important.
