Abstract:
Neste artigo salientaremos a formação, os princípios doutrinários e a
atuação do movimento católico em prol do operariado do Rio Grande do
Sul. Os Círculos Operários, como foram batizados por seu fundador, foram
a forma mais direta e incisiva da presença da Igreja Católica brasileira no
“mundo do trabalho”.
This study is aimed at highlighting the formation, the doctrinal principles
and the actions of the Catholic movement in favor of the working class in
Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The Workers’ Circles, as baptized by their
founder, were the most direct and incisive presence of the Brazilian
Catholic Church in the “world of work”.
