Abstract:
Estudo bibliométrico sobre desigualdades no acesso a saúde, realizado a partir
da análise das citações feitas a um artigo da área médica. O trabalho de Julian Tudor Hart que lançou A Lei dos Cuidados Inversos em 1971 foi analisado quanto às características de impacto, dispersão geográfica e, através das co-citações, foram identificados os trabalhos e autores que compartilham um mesmo espaço cognitivo com o autor. O artigo foi citado 528 vezes no período (1971-2010), um número significativo se comparado com outros trabalhos sobre o mesmo tema. Houve um crescimento no número de citações ao longo do período. O artigo foi citado por autores de 34 diferentes países, incluindo o Brasil. Dois autores, incluindo um brasileiro, compartilham um mesmo espaço cognitivo com o artigo analisado. Os resultados também mostraram que o tema foi sendo absorvido
com maior intensidade nas últimas décadas, e parece ter amadurecido ao longo do tempo.
This article is a bibliometric study about inequalities in access to health
services, carried through by citation analysis to an article of the medical area. The work of Julian Tudor Hart, who released the Law of Inverse Care in 1971, was analyzed regarding impact, geographic dispersion and, through the co-citations, it was possible to identify the works and authors that share a common cognitive space with the author. The article was cited 528 times in the period (1971-2010), which is a significant number if compared to
other works about the same subject. There was an increase in the number of citations along the period. The article was cited by authors from 34 different countries, including Brazil. Two authors, including a Brazilian one, share the same cognitive space of the analyzed article. The results also showed that the theory has been absorbed more intensely in the last decades, and seems to have gained maturity over time.
