Pesquisa escolar e uso de fontes de informação no ensino de história : o caso de duas escolas do município do Rio Grande-RS

Abstract

Essa pesquisa tem como objeto de investigação a relação entre os processos que envolvem a Competência em Informação e o Ensino de História, com foco nas práticas de pesquisa escolar e no uso de fontes de informação. No que se refere à abordagem metodológica norteadora, foram utilizados a pesquisa-ação e a técnica de entrevistas semiestruturadas as quais foram analisadas posteriormente pelo aporte metodológico da análise de conteúdo, segundo Bardin (2011). Também se empregou a técnica da observação participante como forma de avaliar as tarefas desenvolvidas pelos estudantes no decorrer da atividade de pesquisa escolar efetuada. Para o desenvolvimento deste estudo participaram duas bibliotecárias e dois docentes de História dos anos finais de duas escolas da rede municipal da cidade do Rio Grande - RS. Através das diferentes técnicas de coleta de dados aplicadas, verificou-se a ausência de práticas sistematizadas e consistentes de pesquisa escolar na disciplina de História no sexto ano do ensino fundamental nas escolas investigadas. Constatou-se ainda que em ambas as escolas, as bibliotecárias têm uma participação limitada nas práticas de planejamento pedagógico. Contudo, por intermédio dessa investigação, foi realizado um trabalho em conjunto entre os professores; bibliotecárias das escolas analisadas e a pesquisadora, o que resultou na elaboração da Proposta de Programa de pesquisa escolar no ensino de História, direcionado aos professores e no Tutorial de pesquisa escolar aplicado ao ensino de História, dirigido aos estudantes, ambos fundamentados no modelo de Competência em Informação Big6 (c2014). Mediante a aplicação e análise de algumas atividades da proposta de programa foi possível constatar quais etapas da pesquisa escolar exigem maior atenção por parte dos educadores. Os materiais didáticos elaborados foram construídos como uma sugestão a ser utilizada, podendo ser adaptados ao contexto de cada turma de alunos. Esses instrumentos podem servir como auxílio aos educadores e estudantes na realização de atividades de pesquisa escolar na disciplina de História. Conclui-se que a ação conjunta de professores e bibliotecários em qualificar as práticas de pesquisa escolar e uso de fontes informacionais no ensino de História constitui o primeiro passo para a implementação e desenvolvimento de programas de Competência em Informação no contexto escolar. Compreende-se que as ações realizadas através dessa pesquisa colaboraram para a conscientização da relevância de ações coletivas e sistemáticas entre professores, bibliotecários e demais educadores no empenho de oportunizar o aprendizado dos estudantes através da pesquisa escolar e do uso de fontes de informação no ensino de História.

This research was created for investigation of the relationship between the processes involving Information Literacy and History Teaching, focusing on the practices of school research and the use information sources. Regarding the guiding methodological approach, action-research and the technique of semi-structured interviews were used, which it were analyzed later by the methodological input of the content analysis, according to Bardin (2011). In addition, the participant observation technique was used with the objective of evaluating the tasks developed by the students during the school research activity. For the development of this study, two librarians and two historian faculty members of the last final years of two municipal schools in the city of Rio Grande - RS participated. Through the different techniques of data collection applied, we verified the absence of systematized and consistent practices of school research in the discipline of History in the sixth year of the Middle School. In addition, it was verified that in both schools, the librarians have a limited participation in the pedagogical planning practices. However, through this research, a joint work was carried out among the teachers; librarians of the analyzed schools and the researcher, which resulted in the elaboration of the Proposed Program of school research of the History class, directed to the teachers and in the Tutorial of school research applied to the teaching of History, directed to the students, both based on the Big6 (c2014) Information Literacy model. Through the application and analysis of some of the activities of the Program Proposal, it was possible verify which stages of school research require more attention from educators. The elaborated didactic materials were constructed as a suggestion to be used, and it's able to be adapted in the context of each class of students. These instruments also works to serve as an aid to educators and students in carrying out school research activities in the History discipline. It is concluded that the joint action of teachers and librarians to qualify the practices of school research and use of informational sources in the History teaching is the first step towards the implementation and development of Information Literacy programs in the school context. It is understood that the actions carried out through this research collaborated to raise awareness of the relevance of collective and systematic actions among teachers, librarians and other educators in the effort to provide students with learning through school research and the use of information sources in History Teaching.
