Abstract:
O “fait divers” faz parte do universo da informação e, certamente, do universo do discurso. Todos os dias nossos jornais reservam um lugar, mais ou menos importante, para este tipo de informações tão diferentes quanto curiosas.Alguns jornais concedem à rubrica “faits divers” apenas uma modesta coluna, outros, ao contrário, fazem dele uma especialidade. E é como discurso particular
que vamos estudar aqui o “fait divers”. Dividimos este artigo em quatro partes.Primeiramente, vamos nos deter à definição do “fait divers” e as suas principais características. Na segunda parte traçaremos um breve panorama histórico a fim
de retraçar a evolução da crônica do “fait divers”. Em seguida, abordaremos as
questões relativas a estrutura narrativa do “fait divers”. Na última parte trataremos
da função social de tal discurso.
Some Newspapers grant the colum of « faits divers » only a very modest
space, whereas others turn it into something of specialty. Be that as it may, every
day our newspapers reserve more or less space to these kinds of news items which are as diverse as they are curious. « Faits divers » are part of the news universe and, of course, part of universe of discourse. It is as this special kind of discourse that we are going to study the « faits divers ». We have divided this study into four parts. Firsty, we shall discuss the definition and main characteristics of « fait divers ». Secondly, we shall cast a glance at history to trace the evolution of « fait divers » in France. Thirdly, we shall deal with questions concerning the narrative structure of « fait divers ». Finally, we shall examine the social functions of the kind of discourse that a « fait divers » presents.
