Abstract:
O objetivo deste estudo é verificar se a qualidade do sistema de informação e a pressão orçamentária influenciam o
desempenho do departamento, pois este se torna fundamental para o alcance das metas orçamentárias. A pesquisa foi
conduzida pelo raciocínio dedutivo e se classifica como descritiva, quantitativa e pesquisa de campo, do tipo survey, tendo
como instrumento de coleta de dados o questionário que teve sua confiabilidade testada pelo Alfa de Cronbach, resultando
em um coeficiente alfa de 0,985 que indicou alta confiabilidade da escala utilizada. Os respondentes foram 46 gerentes de
produção de indústrias de grande porte, instaladas no Estado de Santa Catarina e associadas na Federação das Indústrias
do Estado de Santa Catarina - FIESC. A hipótese de pesquisa que se buscou testar foi H1: quanto maior a pressão para o
alcance das metas orçamentárias e maior a qualidade do sistema de informação de suporte a esse processo, maior é o
desempenho departamental. De acordo com os resultados estatísticos do modelo de regressão, houve evidências de que
existe relação positiva entre a maior pressão para o alcance das metas orçamentárias e a maior qualidade do sistema de
informação proporcionando maior desempenho departamental. Também foram aplicados os testes de suposições
Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Levene e o Breusch-Godfrey para validar a análise multivariada. Desta forma, neste estudo a hipótese
H1 foi aceita estatisticamente. Contudo, os resultados instigam a análises futuras estratificando a amostra por setores de
atividade ou compondo um modelo com outras variáveis.
The objective of this study is to verify the quality of the information system and budget pressures influence in the
performance of the department, as this is fundamental to the achievement of budget targets. The research was conducted by
deductive reasoning and is classified as descriptive, quantitative and field research, survey type, with the data collection
instrument was a questionnaire that tested its reliability by Cronbach's alpha, resulting in a coefficient alpha of 0.985 to
indicated high reliability of the scale used. Respondents were 46 production managers of large industries, located in the state
of Santa Catarina and associates at the Federação das Indústrias de Santa Catarina - FIESC. The research hypothesis was
that sought to test H1: the greater the pressure to achieve the budget targets and the higher the quality of the information
system to support this process, the greater the departmental performance. According to the statistical results of the
regression model, there was evidence that there is a positive relationship between greater pressure to achieve the budget
targets and higher quality information system providing greater departmental performance. Were also tested on the
assumptions Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Levene Breusch-Godfrey to validate the multivariate analysis. Thus, this study
supports the hypothesis H1 was statistically. However, the results call for further analysis stratifying the sample by industry or
composing a model with other variables.
