Abstract:
Esta pesquisa foi elaborada com o objetivo de realizar a leitura e a análise da obra
Cristais partidos (1915), da poeta brasileira Gilka Machado (1893-1980), sob a
perspectiva da teoria do imaginário. Nossa proposta consistiu em compreender como as
imagens atuam na produção de sentido do texto lírico. A fundamentação teórica e
metodológica, deste estudo, parte da teoria do imaginário de Gilbert Durand, voltada à
dimensão simbólica da imagem e ao seu dinamismo criador. Durante o processo de
análise incluímos ainda as contribuições de Gaston Bachelard e de Mircea Eliade. Com
essa pesquisa, buscamos ampliar o olhar sobre a obra em pauta e a poesia de Gilka
Machado e também contribuir para uma resignificação do lugar da poeta e de sua
produção nas histórias da literatura brasileira.
This research was developed with the aim of reading and analyzing the book Cristais
partidos (1915), written by the Brazilian poet Gilka Machado (1893-1980), from the
perspective of the theory of the imaginary. Our purpose consisted in understanding how
symbolic images act in the production of the meaning of the poem. The theoretical and
methodological supports of this study are based on Gilbert Durand’s theory of the
imaginary, which is focused on the symbolic dimension of images and its creative
dynamism. During the process of analyzing we also included the contributions of
Gaston Bachelard and Mircea Eliade. With this study, we intended to amplify the view
of the referred book and Gilka Machado’s poetry and also contribute to a rethinking of
the place of the poet and her production in the histories of Brazilian literature.
