As várias faces da feiticeira: uma análise mítica da bruxa na peça Macbeth escrita por Shakespeare e na adaptação fílmica de Welles

Abstract

A narrativa é uma das formas mais comuns e antigas de entender o mundo, a história tem permeado a humanidade desde tempos imemoriais e auxiliado o ser humano a compreender a si mesmo. Isto posto, este trabalho objetiva analisar os componentes míticos das bruxas de uma das narrativas mais consagradas, Macbeth. Para tal, utilizar-se-á da peça escrita de Shakespeare (1623) e da adaptação fílmica de Welles (1963), ambas responsáveis por popularizar a históriado rei. A escolha dar-se por perceber a relação simbiótica entre literatura e cinema, relação que perpassa o questionamento de como as bruxas são representadas em cada narrativa. Este trabalho conta com as contribuições de Bazin(1991), Bulfinch(2002), Carrière (2006) e Prieto (2003)e busca,através dos teóricos que versão sobre as relações entre a literatura e o cinema ou sobre o mito, demonstrar como a mitologia corrobora com uma leitura mais completa sobre o componente divino presente em ambas as narrativas. Esta proposta justifica-se por contribuir com os estudos acerca das relações do cinema e da literatura, os quais têm se destacado nas últimas décadas, tornado disponíveis novas ferramentas para a análise da arte nos dois ambientes, além de refletir sobre o mito e a figura da bruxa representada em ambas plataformas.

The narrative is one of the most common and ancient ways of understanding the world, the history has pervaded humanity since immemorial times and helped the human being to understand itself. This paper aims to analyze the witches’ mythical components of one the most consecrated narratives, Macbeth. For that, it will be analyzed the written play of Shakespeare (1623) and of the film adaptation of Welles (1963), both responsible for popularizing the story of the king. The choice is made to perceive the symbiotic relationship between literature and cinema, a relation that permeates the questioning of how witches are represented in each narrative. This work counts on the contributions of Bazin (1991), Bulfinch (2002), Carrière (2006) and Prieto (2003) and search, from the theorists who speak about the relations between literature and cinema or about myth, to demonstrate how the mythology corroborates with a more complete reading on the divinecomponent present in both narratives. This proposal is justified by contributing to the studies about the relations of cinema and literature, which have stood out in the last decades, making available new tools for the art analysis in both environments, besides reflecting on the myth and the figure of the witch represented on both platforms
