Abstract:
Nas últimas décadas, bibliotecários e bibliotecas têm passado por mudanças significativas
nos seus papéis de atuação diante da sociedade. A biblioteconomia voltada para as ações
culturais traz um olhar mais sensível à prática profissional do bibliotecário, ressaltando o seu
papel de agente transformador perante os sujeitos que dele mais necessitam. Para essa
pesquisa, levantou- Quais as principais abordagens sobre as ações
culturais que podem ser colocadas em práticas para que bibliotecários assumam o papel de
que abordem o papel do bibliotecário na implantação da ação cultural em bibliotecas. Tratase
de uma revisão bibliográfica em 33 revistas de biblioteconomia e ciência da informação. A
pesquisa visa mostrar a importância do profissional bibliotecário em deixar de lado uma
preparação tecnicista, de catalogar livros, como se seu trabalho fosse por demanda (das
pessoas) e passar a atuar de forma proativa, passando a olhar as pessoas que não têm
acesso à informação e à cultura e que é necessário abraçar essa responsabilidade como
agente transformador informacional na sua instituição.
