Abstract:
Neste texto, pretendo discutir o processo de formação em Educação Ambiental no Programa
de Pós-graduação em Educação Ambiental, nível mestrado e doutorado, na Universidade
Federal do Rio Grande (PPGEA/Furg). Apresento uma breve contextualização do campo da Educação Ambiental e da complexidade das dimensões implicadas na formação do educador ambiental. Enfoco as várias denominações e algumas possibilidades de classificações da Educação Ambiental, ressaltando a sua identificação na área da Educação e problematizando as relações entre ambas e entre o meio ambiente. Abordo o processo de constituição do educador ambiental no PPGEA/Furg, tendo presente alguns questionamentos e posições
assumidas nesse processo formativo, bem como algumas questões vividas na condição de
docente do PPGEA/Furg, desde 2001, e na passagem pela coordenação do Programa durante
os anos de 2005 a 2006. Para finalizar, ressalto a articulação entre a Abordagem Sócio-histórica e a Educação Ambiental transformadora como uma das possibilidades
potencializadoras de se trabalhar com a trama da constituição mútua dos sujeitos implicados nos processos de formação em Educação Ambiental, abordando os diferentes sujeitos, docentes e discentes, no contexto da Pós-graduação em Educação Ambiental, comprometidos com a transformação na sociedade.
In this text, I intend to discuss the process of formation in Environmental Education at the Program of Post Graduation in Environmental Education, at the level of Master and Doctor degree at the Universidade Federal de Rio Grande (PPGEA/Furg). First, I present a brief contextualization of the Environmental Education field and the complexity of the dimensions implicated in the environmental educator ́s formation. I enphasize the several denominations
and the possibilities of classificating the area of Environmental Education, remarking its identification with the issues of Education, questioning the relationships between both and the environment. I approach the process of the environmental educator's constitution in the PPGEA / Furg, having in mind some questions and positions built during these formative process, as well as some issues that I lived as a lecturer at PPGEA/rg since 2001 and during the role of coordinator from 2005 to 2006. To conclude, I emphasize the articulation between
the Sociohistorical Theories and the field of the transforming Environmental Education as one of the possibilities which potentialize the work with the weave of the mutual constitution of the implicated subjects in the formation processes in Environmental Education, approaching
different individuals, lecturers and students, in the context of the post-graduation in Environmental Education, committed with the changes of the society.
