O sujeito e a cidade: um mergulho no imaginário de satolep, de Vitor Ramil

Abstract

Andar nas ruas brumadas, percorrer caminhos emaranhados, atravessar o labirinto, deixando-se perder na cidade e em suas imagens, até conhecer-lhe os segredos, é o que propõe ao leitor o romance Satolep, de Vitor Ramil. Nesse movimento, assim como o protagonista Selbor, o leitor torna-se flâneur, sujeito em busca de sentidos, de respostas, a integrar-se nesse mosaico desconstruído, acompanhando, assim, sua jornada na tentativa de conseguir, a partir de cada fragmento, ver o todo. A exemplo de Selbor, esta pesquisa, ao penetrar no universo onírico de Satolep, buscou seguir as pistas que a cidade oferece, perscrutando imagens e símbolos, a fim de melhor conhecer o imaginário que dá forma e vida à Satolep. O trabalho tenta, através das narrativas e das fotografias, e por meio dos olhares de Gaston Bachelard, Roland Barthes, Walter Benjamin, Gilbert Durand, Joseph Campbell, entre outros, desvendar algumas dessas imagens que chegam vindas da cidade-sonho, sonhada por Vitor Ramil.

Walking on misty streets, following tangled ways, crossing the labyrinth, and letting yourself to get lost in the city and in the city’s images until you find their secrets, that is the purpose of the novel Satolep, by Vitor Ramil. In that movement, the protagonist Selbor, as well as the reader, becomes flâneur, a person in search of meanings, of answers, who joins in this deconstructed mosaic, and so, follows his journey in an attempt to see the whole from each fragment. This research aimed to follow the clues offered by the city, as well as by the character, by penetrating the oneiric universe of Satolep, just as Selbor does in the story. In this way, this research focused on the elucidation of images and symbols in order to better understand the imaginary that gives form and life to Satolep. This study intended to find out some of those images that come from Vitor Ramil’s dreamlike city through the narratives and the pictures, as well as the theoretical background of Gaston Bachelard, Roland Barthes, Walter Benjamin, Gilbert Durand, Joseph Campbell, among others.
