# Transformações no plano: Uma aplicação do estudo de matrizes com o uso de planilhas eletrônicas

### Abstract:

During part of my professional life I worked intensively with using spreadsheets, basically making calculation of commissions, sell sheets, inventory sheets and generating several types of graphs, when I became a math teacher tried to avail myself of this experience offering classroom activities whenever possible with the use of this resource. In elementary school I had the opportunity to work “The Numerical Value of an Algebraic Expression” using spreadsheet where students chose some values to generate graphics, an interesting activity that prepared students for the study of functions and their graphs below. In high school I used spreadsheets to work functions, sequences, arithmetic and geometric progressions, the idea of a limit, when we work the sum of terms of the infinite geometric series, matrices and statistics, as (a second time) to schedule the worksheet do the math, the students are free to think of other concepts related to the contents studied, which contributes to their learning and motivation. Developed the content for me in high school with the use of spreadsheets Operations with Matrices excels both ease of adapting their operations as the end result and therefore the activity that is present in this proposal, as follows: The proposed educational activity starts showing some operations with matrices and investigating the transformations that these operations generate the plan, we will use the spreadsheet 2 to effect the calculations and generate the graphs that frees us to do investigations, analyze their symmetries, their fixed points, etc. Another important application is presented morphism - an intermediate transition between the two figures, the first figure in which loses its form while it will take the form of the second figure. How to calculate the dot matrix of a morphism figure is quite laborious succor again in the spreadsheet effects for them and generate graphs.
