Abstract:
O presente artigo tem por objetivo refletir acerca das relações entre o
ensino de História e de Geografia. Advogamos pela importância de
ambas as disciplinas, que, quando devidamente trabalhadas, podem
contribuir para a formação e compreensão dos seres humanos: seu
espaço, suas sociedades construídas historicamente e as dinâmicas
envolvidas nos processos espaço-temporais. Com base em nossa
experiência diária na sala de aula, por um lado criticamos os processos
de ensino e aprendizagem desvinculados do cotidiano dos alunos e, por
outro, apontamos elementos para se (re)pensar os caminhos possíveis
dessas duas disciplinas, por um ensino mais humano.
This paper aims to present some reflections about the relationship
between the teaching of Geography and History. We advocate for the
importance of both disciplines, which we believe to contribute to the
formation and understanding of human beings: our space, our
societies, historically built, and the dynamic processes involved in
space-time processes. Drawing on our classroom daily experience, on
the one hand we criticize the teaching and learning processes
unrelated to the daily lives of students, and on the other hand we point
out some elements to (re) thinking the possible ways for a more
humane education.
