Abstract:
O presente trabalho consiste em fazer uma análise sobre a prática dos
bibliotecários, sobre a indexação, sua interpretação de textos, da sua leitura de
documentos e da representação temática, através da obra Leitura e interpretação
em biblioteconomia, de Clarinda Lucas. Tendo como objetivo específico identificar
qual (is) tipo(s) de leitura(s) é realizado pelo bibliotecário no processo de indexação
e quais elementos da análise do discurso contribuem para a formação do
bibliotecário indexador, bem como no fazer da sua atividade como indexador, que
ainda estão à margem de sua formação. Portanto, iniciamos nosso referencial
teórico tratando do discurso da biblioteconomia: o bibliotecário e suas funções, os
senhores da memória e do esquecimento, a leitura e o olhar leitor do bibliotecário,
logo após, trataremos da representação da informação, que vem a ser, em suma, o
resultado das etapas de catalogação, classificação e indexação. Para em seguida,
especificamos a representação temática, bem como a indexação, enquanto produtos
da leitura realizada pelo bibliotecário no processo de tratamento da informação.
Conclui afirmando que a metodologia estudada é adequada e eficiente em seu
propósito.
The present work consists of making an analysis on the practice of librarians, on
indexing, their interpretation of texts, their reading of documents and the thematic
representation, through Clarinda Lucas' Reading and Interpretation in Librarianship.
Having as a specific objective to identify which type (s) of reading (s) is carried out by
the librarian in the indexing process and which elements of discourse analysis
contributes to the formation of the indexing librarian, as well as in the making of its
activity as indexer, who are still at the margin of their training. Therefore, in order to
arrive at a conclusion, we begin our theoretical reference dealing with the discourse
of librarianship: the librarian and his functions, the lords of memory and forgetfulness,
reading and reading the librarian, soon after, we will deal with the representation of
information , which is, in short, the result of the steps of cataloging, classification and
indexing. Next, we specify the thematic representation as well as the indexation as
the products of the reading carried out by the librarian in the process of information
processing. It concludes by stating that the methodology studied is adequate and
efficient in its purpose.
