Abstract:
Este trabalho pretende, a partir de um viés comparatista, fomentar discussões acerca do medo na pós-modernidade. A discussão aqui proposta busca refletir sobre a forma como o medo afeta a vivência contemporânea e como o indivíduo pós-moderno lida com as situações e, consequentemente, com os limites impostos por elas. Essas reflexões serão feitas a partir das personagens de Reprodução (2013), do escritor Bernardo Carvalho, que trazem intrínsecas às suas identidades características contemporâneas. A reflexão será realizada tendo como base as contribuições de importantes teóricos como Zygman Bauman (2001; 2004; 2008), Itamar Even-Zohar (2010) e Stuart Hall (2005).
This work intends, from a comparative bias, to foment discussions about fear in postmodernity. The discussion proposed here seeks to reflect on how fear affects contemporary life and how the postmodern individual deals with situations and, consequently, with the limits imposed by them. These reflections will be made from the characters of Reprodução (2013), by the writer Bernardo Carvalho, fictional figures who bring intrinsic to their identities contemporary characteristics. The reflection will be based on the contributions of important theorists such as Zygman Bauman (2001, 2004, 2008), Itamar Even-Zohar (2010) and Stuart Hall (2005).
