Pensando a dependência latino-americana: resenha histórica de Theotonio Dos Santos e o capitalismo periférico latino-americano

Abstract

Esta é uma resenha do livro “Dos Santos Theotonio. Construir soberania. uma interpretação economia da e para a América Latina. Vol. I. Cidade Autônoma de Buenos Aires: Clacso, 2020, 798 p.”, o qual apresenta um conjunto de textos sobre o cientista social brasileiro Theotonio Dos Santos (1963-2018), especialmente suas contribuições para a formação econômica e social do Brasil como latino-americano a partir do marxismo nacionalizado que adotou em suas análises. Bruckman aponta em uma introdução ao em sua obra, a escrita do brasileiro pode ser datada em quatro momentos cronológicos: a apropriação do marxismo, a dinâmica da dependência, o papel da revolução científico-técnica e as preocupações com a economia mundial. Estes eixos que atravessam a obra de Dos Santos tornam-se hoje especialmente importantes, tendo em conta os problemas de desenvolvimento, integração política e luta contra a desigualdade que a região enfrentou após a pandemia da COVID-19.

This is a review of the book “Dos Santos Theotonio. Build sovereignty. an economic interpretation of and for Latin America. Vol. I. Autonomous City of Buenos Aires: Clacso, 2020, 798 p.”, which presents a set of texts about the Brazilian social scientist Theotonio Dos Santos (1963-2018), especially his contributions to the economic and social formation of Brazil as a Latin America based on the nationalized Marxism that he adopted in his analyses. Bruckman points out in an introduction to in his work, the writing of Brazilians can be dated in four chronological moments: the appropriation of Marxism, the dynamics of dependency, the role of the scientific-technical revolution and concerns with the world economy. These axes that run through Dos Santos' work are becoming especially important today, given the problems of development, political integration and the fight against inequality that the region faced after the COVID-19 pandemic.
