Abstract:
A memória é construída coletivamente, pode ser constituída de acontecimentos,
personagens, pessoas e lugares, é um acervo vivo em constante construção, a
partir dela podem ser contadas as histórias das mais variadas culturas através da
oralidade. O estudo do presente trabalho tem como objetivo ouvir as falas dos
moradores da Ilha dos Marinheiros no município do Rio Grande\RS e tratar essas
memórias como fonte de informação; como objetivos específicos buscou-se coletar,
por meio da oralidade, informações acerca dos costumes, das tradições, dos
valores, das crenças e dos saberes; identificar o que sabem os moradores da Ilha
dos Marinheiros, Rio Grande\RS e que constitui sua origem e raízes e representar e
apresentar essas memórias recuperadas como fontes de informação. A metodologia
utilizada foi a técnica da história oral, a pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo, foram
entrevistados os moradores que a mais tempo moram na localidade da ilha. Ao final
do estudo constatou-se que as memórias dos moradores da Ilha dos Marinheiros
podem sim, serem usadas como fonte de informação. Pode-se perceber a grande
diversidade cultural que a comunidade apresenta herdada dos colonizadores que
colonizaram o local.
Memory is built collectively, it can be made up of events, characters, people and
places, it is a living collection in constant construction, from which the stories of the
most varied cultures can be told orally. The study of the present work aims to listen
to the speeches of the residents of Ilha dos Marinheiros in the municipality of Rio
Grande\RS and treat these memories as a source of information; as specific
objectives, we sought to collect, through orality, information about customs,
traditions, values, beliefs and knowledge; identify what the residents of Ilha dos
Marinheiros, Rio Grande\RS know and what constitutes their origin and roots and
represent and present these recovered memories as sources of information. The
methodology used was the technique of oral history, the research is of a qualitative
nature, the residents who have lived in the island for the longest time were
interviewed. At the end of the study it was found that the memories of the residents
of Ilha dos Marinheiros can indeed be used as a source of information. One can see
the great cultural diversity that the community has inherited from the settlers who
colonized the place.
