The objective of this work is to compare the results obtained between the berthing energy according to the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards, Registered Brazilian Standard extinct 9782: 1987 - Actions in Port, Maritime or Fluvial Structures, British Standardization 6349-4: 2014 Part 4: Code of Practice for design of fendering and mooring systems, with the last correction on June 30, 2014, where the United Kingdom is the country of origin, Spanish Norm ROM 0.2-90 - actions in the design of maritime and harbour Works, with its last update made in May 1994, and, finally, the German Norm USA 2012 - Recommendations of the "committee for port structures and waterways", with its last update in October 2012. The comparison is made for the case study of the Container Terminal of the Port of Rio Grande - TECON, and was carried out in two stages. The first step consists in applying the Monte Carlo Method to all the regulations in order to obtain the computing berthing energy, analyzing by means of statistical parameters the results obtained. The second step consists of verifying the reliability of the regulations against the calculated project values, analyzing the probability of the calculated values (denoted by design points) being exceeded. The results obtained demonstrate a very small variation in relation to the standards studied, where in the analysis of the lowest reliability obtained by the Monte Carlo method, it is Brazilian standard (NBR 9782,1987), which contains a greater probability of failure than the others, and the best reliability is given by the German standard, with lower probability of failure, according to the Monte Carlo method, when compared to the design points found.
