Abstract:
Com o presente texto privilegia-se, em linhas gerais, a apresentação do olhar português acerca da nova Constituição de 1937 e o decreto do Estado Novo no Brasil a partir da análise, principalmente, mas não exclusiva, de dois relatórios emitidos pelo Embaixador luso no Brasil, Martinho Nobre de Mello, ao Presidente do Conselho português, Antônio de Oliveira Salazar. O primeiro relatório data de 23 de novembro e o segundo, de 14 de novembro de 1937.
This study is aimed at giving the Portuguese general view of the new Brazilian Constitution of 1937 and the decree of the New State in Brazil. It is based on the analysis, mainly but not exclusively, of two reports issued by the Portuguese Ambassador in Brazil, Martinho Nobre de Mello, to the
Portuguese Chairman, Antonio de Oliveira Salazar. The first report was in November 23 and the second one in November 14, 1937.
