Abstract:
O trabalho apresenta a investigação relativa às compreensões dos licenciandos de Ciências Biológicas e professores em exercício sobre Educação Ambiental (EA), no ensino básico e superior, e as abordagens metodológicas propostas por eles. Os resultados foram obtidos da análise textual discursiva das respostas de dez licenciandos, dez professores da educação básica e dez do ensino superior, a um questionário semiestruturado. A maioria dos professores da Educação Básica concorda que a EA deve acontecer em todos os componentes curriculares, já alguns do Ensino Superior e a maioria dos licenciandos destacaram a necessidade de componente específico. Seis categorias sobre EA emergiram da análise: i. Conservacionista; ii. Sustentabilidade; iii. Ambiente e Cultura; iv. Impactos Humanos e Restauração; v. Solução para o Futuro; vi. Relação Ser Humano x Ambiente, o que demonstra a variedade de concepções. A categoria conservacionista predominou, mas as outras colocam na EA a mudança na relação da humanidade com o ambiente.
The paper presents a research on the comprehension of Biological Sciences' undergraduates and practicing teachers on environmental education (EE) in basic and higher education, and the methodological approaches proposed by them. The results were obtained from the analysis of textual discursive's responses to a semi-structured questionnaire, by thirty individuals: ten of Biological Sciences' undergraduates, ten of school's teachers and ten teachers of graduation. Most teachers of Basic Education agree that EE should happen in all curriculum components, even though some of the teachers of graduation and the majority of undergraduates highlighted the need for a specific component. Six categories emerged from the analysis on environmental education: i. Conservationist; ii. Sustainability; iii. Environment and culture; iv. Human Impacts and Restoration; v. Future Solution to the environment impacts; vi. the Relationship between the Humanity and the Environment, that demonstrates the variety of conceptions. The conservationist one predominated, but the others pointed to changes in the relationship of humanity with the environment.
