Abstract:
O presente trabalho estabelece uma reflexão sobre o processo de mediação da informação. O uso da informação, a absorção, o acesso e o conteúdo fazem parte do cenário do processo de mediação no fluxo informacional, fator essencial para a constituição de estoques de informação, no intuito de se realizar a representação e a escolha dessas informações nos estoques informacionais. Identifica o mediador como elemento que intervém na busca e no acesso à informação, desempenhando papel fundamental no processo de obtenção do conhecimento. Aponta algumas funções que o mediador desenvolve entre o usuário e a informação no processo de mediação. As considerações finais relatam o impacto das tecnologias de informação e seu uso, bem como a importância do mediador para “melhor” recuperar o acervo informacional.
This study brings up a reflection on the information mediation process. The use of information, its absorption, access and content, are part of the scenario of the mediation process in the informational flow, which is essential for the establishment of stockpiles of information in order to make the representation and choice of this information in informational inventories. Herein, the mediator is identified as an element that is involved in information search and access, thus playing a key role in the process of obtaining knowledge. Some functions that the mediator develops between the user and the information in the mediation process are also pointed out. Conclusions show the impact of information technology and its use, as well as the importance of the mediator to “better” retrieve information.
