Abstract:
As TICs estão influenciando o modo da comunicação científica, acelerando e facilitando o gerenciamento da produção intelectual. Nesse contexto emergem os Repositórios Institucionais, plataformas capazes de gerir, preservar e disseminar a produção científica institucional. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo investigar a produção do conhecimento sobre o tema Repositório Institucional nas teses e dissertações disponibilizadas na BDTD/IBICT. Para que o objetivo geral desta pesquisa fosse atingido de forma mais consistente, dividiu-se em objetivos mais específicos, como: Investigar na Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações a produção científica sobre Repositórios Institucionais; Verificar, nas teses e dissertações recuperadas, os temas abordados; Analisar dados como a autoria, cronologia, a instituição e a região que se destacam nestas produções; Discutir a relevância do tema para a preservação da produção científica institucional. Na busca de um aporte teórico para a sustentação da pesquisa foram estudados os termos: Produção do Conhecimento, Movimento Acesso Livre, Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação no processo da Comunicação Científica, Repositórios Digitais e Repositórios Institucionais. Na metodologia foi realizada uma abordagem quali-quanti, com características Exploratória e Descritiva. O objeto de estudo da pesquisa é a produção científica sobre Repositórios Institucionais nas teses e dissertações da BDTD. A coleta de dados foi realizada na base da BDTD, utilizando os descritores: “Repositórios Institucionais” e “Repositório Institucional”. Com base nos métodos empregados, foi possível recuperar 16 trabalhos, que foram analisados e discutidos. Observa-se que as discussões nas teses e dissertações recuperadas estão voltadas para os assuntos como a indicação de implementação de RI, importância e benefícios dos RIs, interoperabilidade, autoarquivamento e compartilhamento de conteúdos educacionais. Nota-se a importância da discussão sobre o tema RI, esclarecendo e tornando essa ferramenta mais divulgada, tanto para os autores incentivando o depósito de suas produções quanto aos pesquisadores, possibilitando o conhecimento desse mecanismo que contém documentos seguros, confiáveis e de acesso livre. Também é de relevância para as instituições que ainda não implementaram seus RIs, proporcionando ciência sobre o assunto e percepção da importância na preservação da produção científica institucional. Finalmente, espera-se que esta pesquisa possa contribuir com o desenvolvimento de outros estudos, no sentido de aprofundar conhecimento sobre o assunto Repositório Institucional, bem como despertar novas indagações para futuros trabalhos.
The new TICs are modifying the way of scientific communication, speeding up and making
the management of the intellectual productions easy. In this context the institutional
repository emerge. The present paper wants investigate the production of the knowledge about
the theme Institutional Repository in the theses and dissertations available in BDTD/IBICT.
For the general goal were beat in the most consist way in this search , it were split in specific
goals: investigate in the digital library of theses and dissertations the scientific production
institutional repositories; verifying in the theses and dissertations recovered, the themes
addressed; analyze data like the authors, Chronology , the institution and the place that were
posted in this production. Discuss the theme relevance for the preservation of institutional
scientific product. In the search of a theory contribution for the lift of the search, the
followings terms were studied; knowledge production, movement of free access, information
technologies and communication in the process of scientific communication, digital
repositories and institutional repository. In the methodology were held Quali-Quant with
explorative and descriptive characteristic. The study goal of the search is the scientific
production about institutional repository in the theses and dissertations of BDTD. The data
collected were made I the basis of BDTD, using the descriptors: "Institutional repositories"
and "institutional repository", with the basis in used methods, were possible retrieve 16
papers, that were analyzed and discussed. Were observed that the discussion of the theses and
dissertations retrieved are turner to the following themes: the indication of implements of RI,
clarifying and turning the tools more divulged, for incentivize the deposit of their productions,
and for the searchers, making the knowledge of this mechanism that has safe documents, and
with fre access. As well is relevant to the institutions that still doesn't implement their RIs,
making the Cuenca about the theme and the perception of the importance in the preservation
of institutional centrifugal production available. Finally, is expected tha this search can
contribution with the development of the another's studies, in the way of add knowledge about
the subject institutional repository, and make new questions for future papers.
