Abstract:
O modelo societário vivido pela humanidade enfrenta uma severa crise: crise de identidade cultural, crise do modelo de produção e circulação de bens, crise dos valores e princípios éticos que orientam os indivíduos em seus hábitos de consumo e descarte, crise da insuficiência de recursos naturais para sustentação destes hábitos, crise imposta pelo limite de crescimento populacional e econômico, derivada também da escassez de recursos naturais, enfim, crise do paradigma societário sustentado pelo modelo capitalista, em cuja racionalidade cabe ao ser humano o domínio da natureza e a escravização do próprio ser humano, tolhendo o exercício pleno de sua cidadania e reduzindo-o a mera peça de uma grande engrenagem, facilmente descartada e substituída. Diante deste quadro, este artigo apresenta uma reflexão acerca do problema enfrentado pela sociedade, apontando para a Educação Ambiental como vetor para a superação dos impasses sócio-ambientais postos em nossa realidade.
The societário model lived by the humanity faces a severe crisis: crisis of cultural identity, crisis of the production model and circulation of merchandise, ethical crisis of the values and principles that guide the individuals habits of consumption and discarding, crisis of the insufficience of natural resources, crisis imposed for the limit of population and economic growth, also derived from the scarcity of natural resources, at last, crisis of the social paradigm supported by the capitalist model, in whose rationality it fits to the human being the domain of the nature and the slave of the proper one human being, hindering the full exercise of its citizenship and reducing the mere part of a great gear, easily discarded and substituted. Ahead, this article presents a reflection concerning the problem faced for the society, pointing with respect to the Ambient Education as vector for the overcoming of the social and environmental crisis ranks in our reality.
