Abstract:
O presente trabalho aborda a questão da ergonomia em bibliotecas universitárias,
em especial, os riscos ergonômicos presentes na atividade laboral dos bibliotecários
da biblioteca central da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande. É válido esclarecer
que a ergonomia é um estudo científico sobre as relações do homem com suas
condições de trabalho. Esta tem por objetivo estabelecer normas básicas que devem
ser seguidas no ambiente de trabalho humano, aqui, será apresentado e analisado o
ambiente de trabalho do bibliotecário da Biblioteca Universitária Central da FURG.
Assim, registrou-se que as normas exigidas são muitas e que muitos pontos do
ambiente de trabalho são importantes para que o bibliotecário realize suas
atividades sem correr o risco de desenvolver patologia decorrente de seu cotidiano
laboral. Além disso, deve a instituição, oferecer ambiente adequado e orientar a
forma correta que as atividades devem ser desenvolvidas. Para tal avaliação
existem métodos, dentre outros, o RULA e o NIOSH. Assim, serão apresentadas
informações gerais sobre a ergonomia, sobre biblioteca universitária e sobre a
biblioteca estudada. Sendo válido acrescentar que a biblioteca estudada é muito
importante, pois, é o centro de pesquisa mais utilizado pelos alunos desta instituição.
Após, são apresentados os dados obtidos na pesquisa de campo e os resultados
encontrados. Ou seja, as falhas já detectadas nesta breve pesquisa são assim
comprovadas.
This paper deals with ergonomics in university libraries, especially the ergonomic
risks present in librarians' work at the central library of the University of Rio Grande
Foundation. It is valid to clarify that ergonomics is a scientific study on the relations of
man with his working conditions. The aim is to establish basic standards that must be
followed in the human work environment. Here, the working environment of the
librarian of the FURG BU will be presented and analyzed. Thus, it was noted that the
required standards are many and that many points of the work environment are
important for the librarian to carry out their activities without running the risk of
developing pathology arising from their daily work. In addition, should the institution
that employs, provide appropriate environment and guide the correct way that
activities should be developed. For this evaluation there are methods, among others,
RULA and NIOSH. Thus, general information about ergonomics, about the university
library and about the library studied will be presented. It is valid to add that the
studied library is very important, therefore, it is the research center most used by the
students of this institution. Afterwards, the data obtained in the field survey and the
results are presented. That is, the shortcomings already detected in the observation
are confirmed in the research.
