Abstract:
Resultado de uma pesquisa de caráter bibliográfico, a presente tese busca estabelecer uma articulação entre a Educação Ambiental e a Educação Estética, utilizando como elemento mediador a poesia infantil brasileira. Nessa perspectiva, seu objetivo central é o estudo da questão ambiental tal como é representada no âmbito do discurso poético brasileiro voltado para a criança, identificando as diferentes concepções de mundo nele presentes. Além disso, a pesquisa realizada tem como objetivos específicos o que segue: a) mostrar como a temática natureza/ambiente se faz presente na poesia infantil brasileira, produzida no período compreendido entre a década de 1950 e a contemporaneidade; b) analisar as formas pelas quais a leitura compartilhada da poesia infantil brasileira contribui para a formação estético-ambiental da criança; c) estabelecer uma articulação entre a Educação Estética e a Educação Ambiental, concebidas ambas como dimensões indispensáveis para o desenvolvimento da sensibilidade e da consciência ambiental; d) contribuir para a afirmação do discurso poético voltado para a criança como uma alternativa metodológica a ser utilizada no campo da Educação Ambiental. A escolha da poesia infantil brasileira como corpus de investigação da tese justifica-se pelo fato de ela se configurar como um discurso que, por sua natureza, não só contribui para a formação de uma consciência estético-ambiental do sujeito criança, como se constitui num instrumento que pode ser utilizado pelo educador ambiental no âmbito do Ensino Fundamental. No desenvolvimento do trabalho, buscando atingir os objetivos estabelecidos, os procedimentos são os seguintes: a) identificação e exame das concepções presentes na poesia brasileira dirigida ao público infantil no que diz respeito à representação do ambiente-natureza; b) análise das relações que se estabelecem entre a poesia infantil e o discurso ambientalista produzidos no Brasil a partir da segunda metade do século XX; c) identificação e análise dos elementos que, presentes no discurso poético brasileiro voltado para a criança, são capazes de contribuir para o desenvolvimento e a afirmação de uma educação estético-ambiental. Em síntese, a pesquisa realizada, ao colocar a poesia infantil brasileira como um espaço fundamental para o desenvolvimento da Educação Estética, da reflexão crítica e da formação de opinião, vem ao encontro da Educação Ambiental, entendida aqui como um processo político da apropriação crítica e reflexiva de conhecimentos, atitudes, valores e comportamentos.
As a result of a bibliographic research, this thesis aims at establishing a link between Environmental Education and Esthetic Education using the Brazilian juvenile poetry as a mediator. Considering this perspective, its central purpose is the study of the environmental element such as it is represented in the circuit of the Brazilian poetic discourse directed to children by means of identifying the different perceptions of the world which it contains. Besides, the research is focused on the following specific aspects: a) to demonstrate how the subject nature-environment is present in the Brazilian juvenile poetry produced in the decade of 1950 until contemporaneity; b) to analyze the form by which the shared reading of Brazilian juvenile poetry contributes to children’s esthetical and environmental formation; c) to establish a link between Environmental Education and Esthetic Education, both conceived as inseparable dimensions to develop sensibility and environmental consciousness; d) to contribute to the assertion of a poetic discourse directed to children as a methodological alternative to be used in the field of Environmental Education. The choice of the Brazilian children’s poetry as the corpus of the thesis investigation is justified by the fact that it is characterized as a discourse which by nature not only contributes to the formation of an esthetical and environmental consciousness of children but also constitutes an instrument that can be used by the environmental educator in elementary school. Along the evolution of the work looking forward to achieve the established results the following procedures are developed: a) identification and examination of conceptions present in the Brazilian poetry directed to the juvenile public concerning the environment and nature representation; b) analysis of the relations which are established between the juvenile poetry and the environmental discourse produced in Brazil from the second half of the XX century on; c) identification and analysis of the elements present in the Brazilian poetry discourse directed to children which are capable of contributing to the development and the assertion of an esthetic and environmental education. In short, when the research puts the Brazilian juvenile poetry as a fundamental space for the development of the Esthetic Education, of critical reflection and opinion formation, it coincides with the Environmental Education known here as a political process of critical and reflective assumption of knowledge, attitudes, values and behaviors.
