Abstract:
A Educação Ambiental se apresenta como sendo um importante espaço de diálogos que convergem para o debate e superação das atuais questões socioambientais que nos acompanham. Nesse sentido, esta dissertação trata de estudar, no contexto do pensamento libertário, a obra do pensador e militante anarquista Murray Bookchin, buscando a identificação de categorias conceituais que possibilitem analisar quais as contribuições que o pensamento desse autor pode trazer para o campo da Educação Ambiental. São, basicamente, dois os meus objetivos com esta pesquisa: 1) Identificar e apresentar o contexto da obra do pensador libertário Murray Bookchin, destacando os aspectos da mesma que contenham subsídios teórico-epistemológicos para o entendimento das questões ecológicas contemporâneas; 2) Contribuir, através desses subsídios teórico-epistemológicos para a ampliação dos espaços de diálogos que se apresentam no campo dos fundamentos da Educação Ambiental. O desenvolvimento do trabalho se amparou na perspectiva da pesquisa historiográfica e no método da análise documental de cunho qualitativo. Desse modo, na busca de atribuir sentido aos objetivos propostos, foram se apresentando, em torno do mote principal, algumas possibilidades que encaminharam o desenvolvimento da pesquisa. Nesse sentido, para falar sobre a obra de Murray Bookchin, destaco o contexto teórico que fundamenta seu pensamento, ou seja, o cenário no qual emerge a perspectiva do pensamento libertário, identificando e situando as tendências e grupos. Seguindo, apresento a vida e o conjunto da obra de Bookchin para, ao final, empreender um esforço no sentido de apresentar as principais idéias e premissas que sustentam o seu pensamento e que se vinculam ao contexto da crise socioambiental contemporânea, bem como as alternativas para a superação desse quadro. Partindo disso, realizei uma leitura sobre o processo de constituição do movimento da Educação Ambiental, identificando algumas das estruturas conceituais e temáticas que lhe atribuíram e atribuem sentidos. Numa última direção, destaco em que medida as categorias emergentes nesse processo, poderão contribuir, ou mesmo servir como referências para a ampliação dos diálogos no campo dos fundamentos da Educação Ambiental. Concluo que a obra de Murray Bookchin contém importantes subsídios teóricoepistemológicos que possibilitam ampliar a compreensão da complexidade das questões ecológicas, assim como apresenta importantes alternativas para a sua superação.
Environmental Education presents itself as an important platform for dialogues that converge to the debate and the solution of the present socio-environmental issues that we face. Therefore, this discourse is a study, within the context of the libertarian thinking, of the work of the theorist and anarchy militant Murray Bookchin, This study searches for the identification of categories of concepts that allow the evaluation of what his theory can contribute to the Environmental Education. There are two basic objectives in my research: 1) To identify and present the context of the libertarian theorist Murray Bookchin, highlighting its aspects that contain epistemological tools for the understanding of contemporary ecological issues; 2) To contribute to the increase of the dialogues that surface in the field of Environmental Education through these epistemological tools. The study was developed based on the perspective of the historiographical research and the documental analysis method with qualitative nature. Thus, in the strife to make sense of the proposed objectives, new possibilities arose from the main subject opening pathways for the development of the research. Hence, in order to discuss Murray Bookchin’s work, I emphasize the theoretical context that is the basis of his thinking, which means, the stage from which the perspective of the libertarian thinking emerges, identifying and establishing the tendencies and groups. As follows, I illustrate Brookchin’s life and work so to put an effort in regards to presenting his main ideas and premises that support his thinking, which are connected to the context of the contemporary socio-environmental crisis, along with the
alternatives to overcome this issue. Therefore, I took a careful read about the process of formation of the Environmental Education movement, and analyzed the structures of the concepts and themes that shape its foundation. In a final approach, I highlight how the emerging categories of this process will be able to contribute, or rather, be a reference to the expansion of the dialogue in the field of Environmental Education. I conclude that Murray Bookchin’s work has important epistemological instruments that enable the understanding of the complexity of the ecological issues, and it also presents important alternatives for its solution.
