Abstract:
Este trabalho faz parte de uma pesquisa realizada na cidade do Rio Grande que investigou elementos culturais da capoeira, buscando entender como é praticada e através de quais símbolos se estabelece. Por ser um dos patrimônios da cultura imaterial do Brasil é relevante refletir sobre as discussões que a cercam, para isso buscou-se contribuições teóricas no campo dos Estudos Culturais. Pretende-se apontar a constituição dessa prática na cidade e o que foi possível resgatar de sua memória. Como elemento de coletas de dados utilizou-se diários de campo das rodas de capoeira e entrevistas com personalidades que constituem a Capoeira na atualidade.
This is part of a survey conducted in Rio Grande city which investigated the cultural elements of capoeira, trying to understand how it is practiced and symbols through which it provides. As one of the intangible heritage of culture of Brazil is relevant to reflect on the discussions that surround it, for it was sought to theoretical contributions in the field of Cultural Studies. We intend to indicate the formation of this practice in the city and what was possible to rescue his memory. As part of the collection of data was used field diaries of capoeira and interviews with personalities who constitute the Capoeira today.
