Abstract:
Para restaurar a integridade ecológica de uma área de preservação permanente e ao mesmo tempo oferecer diferentes vivências ambientais para alunos do ensino fundamental I e II, surgiu a proposta da implantação de uma horta em uma área degradada, introduzindo práticas agrícolas temporárias e de uso sustentável enquanto ocorre a sua reparação. Para o trabalho, optou-se pela horta mandala. Durante o trabalho de campo, verificou-se uma participação ativa das crianças responsáveis pelo manejo da horta mandala, pois a mesma possibilita uma melhor vivência ambiental em relação às hortas tradicionais, onde os alunos têm uma maior interação com o solo, a água e a biodiversidade local. Além de estabelecer uma nova relação ser humanonatureza, a horta mandala na agrofloresta sucessional, possibilita também outras ferramentas que podem ser aplicadas na educação ambiental formal e informal, revelando formas criativas de observação, interação com o meio e formando opinião e posturas próprias que levam à ação.
In order to restore the ecological integrity of permanent preservation area and at the same time offer different environmental experiences for students from the elementary school, it was suggested the establishment of a garden in a degraded area, introducing temporary agricultural practices and sustainable uses, while it is been repaired. For the work, we chose for the garden mandala. For the fieldwork, we’ve noticed an
active participation of children that are responsible for managing the garden mandala, because it gives them the opportunity to a better environmental living compared to traditional gardens, where the students have more interaction with the soil, water and the local biodiversity. Besides establishing a new relation between human beings and nature, the garden mandala in the succession agroforestry, also provides other tools that can be applied in the formal and the informal environmental education, revealing creative ways of observation, interaction with the environment, forming opinions and attitudes that lead to action.
