Contribuições das histórias em quadrinhos de Chico Bento para a educação ambiental

Abstract

Diversas pesquisas têm apontado, nas últimas décadas, características positivas e negativas das histórias em quadrinhos que podem ser aproveitadas pela educação formal no intuito de unir o lúdico aos conteúdos seriais para melhorar o aprendizado. Nesta pesquisa procuramos identificar de forma abrangente quais são as contribuições das histórias de Chico Bento para a disseminação da Educação Ambiental Crítica. Para isso, analisamos catorze histórias distintas presentes em revistas mensais, almanaques e na Coleção Um Tema Só – Natureza. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que nas histórias há uma grande diversidade de conteúdos abordados no ensino de ciências e também na Educação Ambiental (EA). Nas mensagens explícitas e implícitas observouse a promoção da visão romântica de natureza bela, mantenedora e necessária à sobrevivência dos seres vivos, mas também promovem reflexões sobre algumas causas e consequências dos atuais problemas ambientais. Sendo assim as histórias de Chico Bento tornam-se uma ferramenta de conscientização da necessidade de conservação ambiental e mudança de algumas concepções e comportamentos humanos em relação ao meio ambiente.

Several studies have pointed out, in recent decades, positive and negative characteristics of comics that can be leveraged for formal education in order to join the playful to the serial content to enhance learning. In this study we sought to identify comprehensively what are the contributions of the stories of Chico Bento for the spread of Critical Environmental Education. For this, we analyzed fourteen different stories present in monthly magazines, almanacs and Only One Theme Collection - Nature. The results showed that the stories there are a wide range of content covered in the teaching of sciences and environmental education. Explicit and implicit messages in the observed promotion of beautiful romantic vision of nature, maintains and necessary to the survival of living beings, but also promote reflection on some causes and consequences of current environmental problems. Thus the stories of Chico Bent1o become a tool of awareness of the need for environmental conservation and change some concepts and human behavior in relation to the environment.
