A inserção da educação ambiental na prática pedagógica.

Abstract

A modificação dos hábitos e o resgate de valores podem ser mantidos e restaurados através da aplicação de princípios e práticas da Educação Ambiental nos mais diferentes segmentos sociais, especialmente no contexto escolar. Para tanto, essa pesquisa bibliográfica buscou mostrar aos atuais e futuros educadores a importância e a necessidade da inserção da educação ambiental na prática pedagógica. A interferência humana no ciclo da natureza tem desencadeado graves consequências para a manutenção das diferentes formas de vida no planeta. Diante disso, surgem movimentos ecológicos que buscam sensibilizar a sociedade sobre a causa e os efeitos dos problemas ambientais. A escola, portanto, deve usar a educação ambiental como ferramenta metodológica interdisciplinar para oferecer aulas dinâmicas e contextualizadas buscando resgatar o elo perdido com a natureza, entender e modificar a relação homem-homem e homem-ambiente. Projetos ambientais implantados em instituições escolares devem ser fundamentados na cooperação, participação e geração de autonomia dos atores envolvidos, promovendo interação, conscientização e mudança de comportamento.

This bibliographic research aimed at showing, to educators and educators -to-be, the importance and the need to insert Environmental Education in the pedagogical practice, so that it may raise awareness to change habits and rescue values through principles and practices of Environmental Education in the school context. Due to human interference in the nature cycle -a fact which changes its sustainable patterns and triggers severe consequences to human survival and other forms of life on the planet -ecological movements have been developed in order toraise awareness regarding the causes and the effects of environmental problems so that the missing link between man and nature can be rescued and the relations among men can be understood and changed. The methodological basis of Environmental Education is to permeate all school disciplines and provide a holistic view of the environment. Therefore, teachers’ responsibility is to teach practical and dynamiclessons to make students observe and comprehend human interventions in the social environment and come up with solutions for environmental problems. It may be developed by projects that involve continuous work, a partnership between the school and the community, aiming to construct citizenship and awareness of the need for changes in people’s everyday attitudes.
