Atividade garimpeira no Crepurizinho (Itaituba-Pará): possibilidades e limites da Educação Ambiental

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo socializar um estudo acerca da atividade garimpeira no município de Itaituba, Pará. O artigo faz uma discussão no âmbito das questões sociais, econômicas e ambientais que norteiam esta atividade. Traz ainda uma reflexão a partir das possibilidades e limites da Educação Ambiental, no sentido desta atuar como um instrumento transformador da realidade socioambiental local.

The present work has as objective to socialize a study concerning the activity goldwasher in the city of Itaituba, Pará. The article makes a discussion in the scope of the social matters, economic and environmental that guide this activity. It still brings a reflection from the possibilities and limits of the Environmental Education, in the direction of this to act as a transforming instrument of the local socioambiental reality.
