Abstract:
A reflexão sobre construção de uma história literária bem como a concepção de cânone que
ela abarca traz à tona uma importante questão: quem são os sujeitos (escritores) que merecem lugar
de destaque. A História nos mostra que mulheres ocupam um espaço marginal em tais construções,
ficando, assim, evidente que homens brancos, heterossexuais são os que ganham notoriedade na
literatura. Isto posto, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo a discussão acerca do espaço reservado
às mulheres ao se pensar na poesia do século XX brasileira. Para tanto, serão aqui analisados os livros
Uma história da poesia brasileira (2007), de Alexei Bueno, e Como e por que ler a poesia brasileira do
século XX (2002), de Ítalo Moriconi; a partir dos apontamentos teóricos de Rita Schmidt, David Perkins,
Roberto Acízelo e outros.
The reflection on the construction of a literary history as well as the conception of canon that
it covers brings up an important question: who are the subjects (writers) that deserve a prominent
place. History shows us that women occupy a marginal space in such arrangements, so it is evident
that white, heterosexual men are those who gain notoriety in literature. Therefore, the present work
aims to discuss the space reserved for women when thinking about the poetry of the twentieth century
in Brazil. To do so, we will analyze here the books Uma história da poesia brasileira (2007) (2007) by
Alexei Bueno, and Como e por que ler a poesia brasileira do século XX (2002), by Ítalo Moriconi; from
the theoretical notes of Rita Schmidt, David Perkins, Roberto Acízelo and others.
