Violeta (1878-1879): um periódico literário sul-rio-grandense

Abstract

Esta dissertação objetiva apresentar uma análise dos textos literários publicados – voltados exclusivamente para o público feminino – no impresso Violeta que circulou em Rio Grande (RS) de 1878 e 1879 e que teve Julieta de Mello Monteiro como proprietária e redatora. Cabe destacar que esta dissertação está vinculada à linha de pesquisa "Literatura sul-rio-grandense" do mestrado em História da Literatura da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande e ao projeto “Dicionários de autores de Rio Grande no século XIX”, coordenado pelo professor Artur Emílio Alarcon Vaz. Este trabalho buscou analisar como este periódico contribuiu para a formação e a consolidação do sistema literário sul-rio-grandense, de acordo com os pressupostos teóricos abordados por Itamar Even Zohar em sua Teoria dos Polissistemas. O foco dessa dissertação é a análise dos textos literários publicados no Violeta considerando o contexto de produção no qual o jornal estava inserido, contribuindo para a reconstrução de uma historiografia literária em que as produções femininas do século XIX obtenham visibilidade.

The present dissertation aims to present an analysis of published literary texts - exclusively aimed at the female audience - in the printed Violetawhich circulated in Rio Grande (RS) in 1878 and 1879 with Julieta de Mello Monteiro as the owner and

copywriter. It should be noted that this dissertation is linked to the “South Rio- GrandenseLiterature” area of research of the master's degree in History of Literature

of the Federal University of Rio Grande and to the project "Dictionaries of authors of Rio Grande in the nineteenth century", coordinated by Professor Artur Emilio Alarcon Vaz.This study sought to analyze how the aforementioned journal contributed to the formation and consolidation of the South-Rio-Grandense literary system, according to the theoretical assumptions addressed by Itamar Even Zohar in his Theory of Polysystems. The focus of this dissertation is the analysis of the literary texts published in the Violeta considering the production context within which the newspaper was inserted, contributing to the reconstruction of a literary historiography in which feminine productions of the 19th century gain visibility.
