Abstract:
O presente trabalho busca retratar a acessibilidade nas bibliotecas das escolas da
rede estadual de ensino na cidade do Rio Grande – RS. Para isso, os objetivos
traçados foram investigar a acessibilidade dos estudantes à biblioteca, verificar se
as bibliotecas apresentam as recomendações do Desenho Universal para
Acessibilidade e investigar como acontece a acessibilidade dos estudantes com
necessidades específicas. A partir de abordagem quali-quantitativa, foi realizada
pesquisa de campo em 11 escolas da cidade. Utilizou como técnicas de coleta a
observação direta nas bibliotecas, mediação de espaços e entrevista com
responsáveis no período de 21 de outubro a 5 de novembro. Para tanto, utilizou-se
formulário checklist adaptado de Nicoletti (2010). Os resultados da pesquisa
mostraram que apenas uma das bibliotecas analisadas conta com um bibliotecário e
que as bibliotecas escolares da rede estadual de ensino na cidade do Rio Grande
analisadas não estão de acordo com a NBR 9050/2020 e o Desenho Universal e que
necessitam de várias adaptações e ajustes para serem consideradas acessíveis.
The present work seeks to portray the accessibility in the libraries of the schools of
the state education system in the city of Rio Grande - RS. For this, the objectives set
were to investigate the accessibility of students to the library, check whether the
libraries present the recommendations of the Universal Design for Accessibility and
investigate how the accessibility of students with specific needs happens. Based on a
quali-quantitative approach, field research was carried out in 11 schools in the city.
The collection techniques used included direct observation in libraries, mediation of
spaces and interviews with people in charge from October 21 to November 5. To this
end, a checklist form adapted from Nicoletti (2010) was used. The results of the
research showed that only one of the analyzed libraries has a librarian and that the
school libraries of the state education system in the city of Rio Grande analyzed are
not in accordance with the NBR 9050/2020 and the Universal Design and that they
need several adaptations and adjustments to be considered accessible.
