A relação da educação ambiental com o processo de formação das lideranças comunitárias na pesca artesanal no sul do Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

O trabalho objetivou compreender a formação social das lideranças na pesca artesanal, no território dos municípios da Lagoa Mirim e do estuário da Lagoa dos Patos. Embasado na teoria da educação ambiental crítica e no materialismo histórico, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas às lideranças, revisão bibliográfica, e a observação do pesquisador, percebendo as relações humanas e sociais que influenciam e consolidam as formações de lideranças. Entender como se dá o processo formativo das lideranças é um modo de se compreender, na perspectiva freiriana, a forma como se manifestam essas relações sociais e ambientais entre os sujeitos da pesca artesanal e suas comunidades. Os resultados foram obtidos das falas das lideranças entrevistadas, que com suas diferentes localizações, manifestaram as mesmas dificuldades na atividade e os mesmos anseios para o futuro da classe pesqueira. Concluímos que o processo formativo dessas lideranças ocorre após a sua constituição enquanto sujeito da pesca artesanal, que diante da insatisfação com a situação que estava vivendo, busca fazer algo para modificar a realidade que se encontrava, de forma que alcança a liderança e se depara com a realidade institucional da atividade.

The study aimed to understand the social formation of leaders in artisanal fishing in the territory of the municipalities of Lagoa Mirim and the estuary of Lagoa dos Patos. Based on the theory of critical environmental education and historical materialism, through semi-structured interviews with leaders, literature review, and the observation of the researcher, realizing the human and social relationships that influence and consolidate the formation of leaders. Understanding how the training process of leaders takes place is a way of understanding, from the freirean perspective, how these social and environmental relationships are manifested between artisanal fishing subjects and their communities. The results were obtained from the statements of the interviewed leaders, who with their different locations, expressed the same difficulties in the activity and the same aspirations for the future of the fishing class. We conclude that the training process of these leaders takes place after their constitution as a subject of artisanal fishing, who, faced with dissatisfaction with the situation they were experiencing, seeks to do something to change the reality that they were in, so that they reach the leadership and are faced with the institutional reality of the activity.
